LeCarie S. Whitfield
LeCarie S. Whitfield joined McInerney & Dillon in 2003. Ms. Whitfield received her B.A. in History from California State University Hayward in 1993, and received her J.D in 1996 from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana.

 

Ms. Whitfield's concentrations include Construction Litigation, Civil RICO, Federal and State False Claims Act Litigation, Federal and State Appellate Practice, Complex Litigation, and General Business Litigation. She represents general contractors, public entity owners, subcontractors, sureties and design professionals in matters arising out of public works construction projects and private development projects.

 

Prior to joining McInerney & Dillon, Ms. Whitfield clerked for three judicial terms in the United State Court for the Eastern District of California. Ms. Whitfield also worked closely with a federal special master appointed by the United States Supreme Court to arbitrate water rights disputes between the states of Kansas and Colorado. Ms. Whitfield has been a guest lecturer at Stanford University's Construction Management Program.

 

Ms. Whitfield is admitted to practice law in the state courts of California, Pennsylvania, and Georgia. She is admitted in the United States Courts for the Northern, Central and Eastern Districts of California, the Eastern District of Wisconsin and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal. Ms. Whitfield is a certified mediator through the University of California, Berkeley's Mediation and Alternative Dispute Resolution program.

 

Ms. Whitfield is a member of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC).
